Which version of the Bible? Does it matter?

The NIV is a corrupted version of the Bible. Don't you people know about corrupt bible versions?
Corrupt as in missing scriptures, added words, misleading passages, Verses not acknowledging Jesus Christ as the Son of God, words used that have ill or no effect, etc!
You had a good thing going until I saw the different bible versions you quoted from!
What’s wrong with the good o'le KJV?
You create confusion with different versions and God is not the Author of confusion.
C'mon this is 2012 and the Saints have been screaming for years about the corrupt word of God being written and distributed around the globe.
Or are you intentionally deceiving people with half truths?
Real truths from the KJV and the bull.... from other versions?!
Do an online comparison of the bibles you're using.
Remember being 99.99% accurate is not enough..........for Gods word is Perfect.
Here I will quote a passage from your "How to Prosper Scriptures"
(Luke 11:13, NIV)
13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
(Luke 11:13, KJV)
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
The NIV reads like this -
God the Father is far off on some distant mountain somewhere pointing his finger at you and nonchalantly saying "If you then, though you are evil,".............
THIS - "Though you are evil" minimizes what God means!
Nonchalant = Seeming to be coolly unconcerned or indifferent
The King James Version says it like this:
" IF ye then, being evil,"
This is God the Father in your face holding nothing back!
He is not screaming but telling you in a Fatherly way, the truth point blankly
that " IF YE THEN BEING EVIL"!
Meaning your whole being is evil! more so you heart being deceitful and desperately wicked!
And being such evil, how much more does his grace and gifts abound!
Do a comparison and be led by the Spirit.

I hadn’t heard the view that the NIV is corrupt, though I know that many favour the KJV.
For myself as
a non dualist , all words can be taken differently by different people. I believe that the Bible (or any book) is best read under the guidance of the Spirit, who takes us beyond words.
“Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”
(Luke 21:33, KJV) God’s words are beyond shapes on a page or noises in the air.
I love that you say to be led by the Spirit. Since you experience the reality of God most powerfully through the KJV you have been led to what you need. Amen to that.
I have a friend, who is triggered by ‘ye olde’ language of the KJV and prefers the Jerusalem Bible. God finds him where he is.
Thank you for the example you gave. Interestingly, I read and received them both in the same way. Thank you for the reminder that I have only to ask for the Holy Spirit and it is given. You have nourished me this afternoon.
I consider that my poems are inspired– meaning of the Spirit. Yet they come through the filter of ‘Katherine’. As such I pray that those who read them receive their wisdom and receive a blessing, and that they let go of anything that is of ‘me’ (rather than through me) and not for them.
In the same way the KJV is a translation from the Greek and as such will have inaccuracies.
Since Jesus spoke in Aramaic, there will also be inaccuracies in the translation of his words.
And even if we were reading in the Greek we would receive the words differently through the filter of different minds.
In fact, this is one of the beauties of the Bible, especially the parables, that according to the changing filter of our current circumstances we can receive new wisdom each time we read the Bible. How fantastic is that? – a book that speaks to us wherever we are in our lives.
I receive your loving intention. Thank you for your prayers.
Katherine
