A Spiritual Poem: JESUS IN INDIA
by Santosh Kumar
(India)
Jesus In India
Jesus went up on a hill
Prayed full day and night.
Seraphim, Cherubim, Michael, Raphael, Gabriel
Listened faithfully:
‘Yes, I sent Gandhi
Who heard the echo celestial
Saw the vision of God
Obeyed the sacred still voice
But the ‘naked fakir’ was murdered
By snake-bite of terror.
I hear Revelation
Gandhi heard it
Buddha heard it
St. Francis, Mother Teresa heard it
I’m king of the Jews,
New values I’d create
For Man now a world citizen
Values new for globalised world
I connect Mind & Heart. This is new Christ.
I’ll fight
As the terrorist loads germs into missiles
All bombs at once releases’

Jesus in A Course In Miracles
by Frank Cavano
(Bluffton, S.C. 29909, USA)
THE MANY FACES OF JESUS
One who would protect me
one who would comfort me
one who would judge me
one who stirred guilt in me
one whom others could ignore
one whom I too could ignore
one suddenly there in tragedy
one whose voice I could hear
one whose thought I could hear
one who guided me each day
one who never ran from truth
one who said truth is Love
one who loved me in all days
one who loved you in all days
one who said we were one
one who is the face of Oneness.
I am a retired physician and
a student of ACIM since 1992.
This poem represents the changing
ways I viewed Jesus from childhood
to old age. Note from a-spiritual-journey-of-healing.com Dear Frank, Thank you so very much for your beautiful poem about Jesus.
I really relate. I have had a similar journey with Jesus. Children sometimes assume guilt if their parent dies when young. I think I did the same with Jesus’ death. He was one I loved and he died. I knew this guilt I felt did not correspond with the Love and Beauty of the experience of God I was lucky enough to know. I left the church and did not expect to return.
Thankfully, Jesus kept popping up in spiritual books I was reading, and then turned up in a big way in A Course In Miracles. Over time my relationship with Jesus was healed and he is beauty in my life.
Thank you again.
With the Love we are,
Katherine

A Poem about Jesus and letting your Light shine
by Sandra Wylie
(Scotland, UK)
The Perfume Box
I had a precious perfume box, it cost dear, it was my own.
I kept it closed to all but me,could not let it e'er be shown.
The box was never opened, its fragrance never shared,
around my life to others, who were in need of care.
I wanted to keep it special and make it only mine.
I felt it would be wasted, on someone less than fine.
But one day I remembered what Jesus did for me.
I broke my precious perfume box and set its fragrance free.

Note from webmaster of a-spiritual-journey-of-healing.com, Katherine T Owen Dear Sandra,
What a lovely retelling of the parable of the talents, where one man hides his single talent in the ground.
Thank you for the reminder that we are asked to let our light shine, not hide it under a bush.
With Love,
Katherine
A poem in which God says
You Are Beautiful My journey to
overcome resistance to GodComment submitted by Robert: LIGHT SERVICEDear Sandra
A lovely poem indeed, we need to be reminded often of the light of our own the higher spirit self and the need to let it shine in the service of the Great Ones.
Comment submitted by Katherine T Owen, webmaster of a-spiritual-journey-of-healing: LET YOUR LIGHT SHINEDear Sandra,
Thank you for your beautiful poem.
It made me think of these bible quotes about being the light of the world
"No-one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light."
(Luke 8:16, NIV)
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
(Matthew 5:14-16, NIV) With thanks for your contribution and
with the Light we allow to shine through us to the world,
Katherine
