This submission on humanity and spirituality is not by a person living with CFS/ME, but it is very much in keeping with the topic of spirituality in a time of illness. ‘How do we combine our humanity and spirituality?’ It’s a great question! Over to Steve to share his thoughts...

Who says we are to be healed anyway. It may be in my best interests to have this 38 years of chronic leg ulcers.
I just thought I was supposed to heal.
I thought I was supposed to realize my enlightenment.
Who says?

We are conditioned by 7 to be goal oriented.
See you at the Top. Go all the way.
Aim for the highest level.

When I found spirituality I still had my old programs running on auto.

Enlightenment is what I already am.
God is me.
God works through this body whether I like it or not.

I thought I was supposed to “go for” enlightenment.
But I have that and will have that for eternity.
God and I are one.
It seems that we are a bar magnet.
God + is infinite.
Knowing Vision perfect peace.

And...
I’m limited.
Sense of separation
I die.
Faulty perceptions and so on.

Now perfection is within me as me already.
I have eternity to be what I am.

However, my ego/self concept/ sense of self.
That has only 25 years or less.
I’ve only got ONE CHANCE TO DO STEVE.
SO I’M GOING TO BE ME NOT MY SPIRITUAL ESSENCE.
I’M BEING MY EGO KNOWING MY Higher self.

Didn’t we just LEAVE where we want to go ??? Why?
Well I think bodies are pretty cool.
You can run, work, shoot play any role you want.
WHEN IN ROME...
be Roman

When on earth,
do earth.
Trying to become what I am means I don’t have it.

Oh for those who want enlightenment the thing that falls away is you ADDING YOUR OPINIONS AND THOUGHT TO REALITY

WE TELL OURSELVES STORIES ABOUT REALITY.
ASK NO QUESTIONS
NEVER CONCLUDE.
DONT PRAY FOR WHAT YOU ARE.
