Grateful to God poem

He always hears my needs



I want my life to be worth living
I know God will let my dreams come true
May I always be kind and giving
As He lets my heart keep beating
And allows me to start each day anew

I want His love to be my reason
And my heartaches to be far and few
As He hears each spoken need
In all or any season
He makes the raindrops pour
The thunder boom, the wind roar

He will wash away my sorrows
and gift me with tomorrow
He will turn my dark skies blue
He lets the sunshine through

As You light the way to Heaven's door
God you always show me the Love of you.

But will you, those I love, love me too?

'I want his love to be my reason' what a beautiful line. I've had a full and varied life with more challenges than I care to remember, God has been firmly in all of it. His love has always been my reason. I enjoyed this poem.

Grateful to God poem

TRULY BLESSED

I am such a wonder, my eyes are able to see the colours
of day - as sunlight greets me on my awakening.

(Many cannot)

My ears receive the sound of songbirds and the melody
of the breeze as it stirs the leaves in the trees.

(Many do not)

My God, your blessings await me every morning:
within my own home, I find fresh clean water,
for drinking and bathing.

(Many do not)

I find your bountiful grain
to nourish my body.

(Many do not)

Even though my body is not young anymore
I am still able to walk and bathe myself.

(Many cannot)

Before I even look out of my window and see
The Greatness of Your Creation
I receive a multitude of blessings.

(By Your Grace, through your beloved son
JESUS CHRIST)
I have Freedom
Many have Not.
I am clothed and have choice
Many have not.

By your Grace, through your son, I am never alone,
when human friends forsake me, you always remain true.

My God of all my Blessings, this one I count Best:

'I can always feel your presence' in this-

I AM TRULY BLESSED.
