United In Love

With each beat of my heart and each breath that I take,
on each step of my way, with each mistake that I make,
I shall not fall down, I shall not break,
for my love is pure, it is not fake.

Every soul that I meet upon my way
I will give my love, and I will pray
that soon comes the day when we all say,
“dear universe, until today we have been led astray”.

So many feelings beneath our skin,
so much hidden pain as we cry within.
We act so cold yet love is who we are,
and acting cold never took us far.

My brothers, my sisters, my family of light,
always show love, for love is always right.
Walk united, keep your heads to the sky.
In unity and love we can reach so high.

Words can hurt poem

A Slip of the Tongue

A slip of the tongue can cause much grief
It can make an honest person appear as a thief
It can hurt someone who really meant well
And force a person into a shell.

Before we speak, we should always be sure
That the words are kind and not impure.

Preserve your tongue and use it with care
State the facts but always be fair.

God gave us our tongues so we could speak
But asked that we would be humble and meek.
Before He spoke He studied each word
And the meaning was clear and always heard.

His voice was gentle but the words were firm
He meant what He said with no uncertain term.

Knowing this was the way we were taught
Follow His way and you’ll never get caught…

With a slip of the tongue.

Touch Someone's Life

You can touch someone's life,
Just by what you say or do,
It's nice to be able to do that,
And I'm going to do it too.

It might be by an act of kindness,
Or just by something you say,
It doesn't matter what it is,
It will surely make their day.

So try and touch somebody’s life,
And show to them your love,
You will be blessed in many ways,
By our Lord and Savior above.
