Someone to Love Me

After all those years of chasing someone to make
the pain go away,
I found Someone who could take the darkness and
turn it to the brightest day.

His name is Jesus, and He is there for you.
Our Savior can help you no matter what you’re
going through.

Darkness was all around me, no one in sight.
The Lord was waiting for me, waiting for when I
was ready for Him to make things right.

I was lonely and desperate, nearing the end.
The Lord reached out to me; Jesus was a companion,
a true friend.

So, when the battle gets especially tough,
Reach out to Him--He is surely more than enough!

Hurt So Good

bible, prayers, reflection & solemn intentions
his love manifested himself within me
as a child running wild in the street
come full circle to the realization

Jesus is Lord
why say another word
silent apathy
he came to set us free

free from our past with all the sin
a chance to begin once again
to laugh and learn
one soul soars while the other will burn

hurt so good
through the pain of spiritual affliction
for I sought his hand of redemption
crying, waiting & confessing

the holy spirit lit a flame that ignited my heart
this was the true source to what I was waiting for
a heart saturated with truth
in order to withstand the true test of time

wisdom is the principle thing
therefore with all thy getting get understanding
his truth is a sword
let us attain to his every holy word
